Legato Vocals is Based in Milson, Palmerston North, New Zealand.
Offers Private one on one vocal lessons.
We love teaching and sharing our knowledge with our students, both children and adults.
Each lesson is structured differently for each student and catered towards the individuals needs and desires.
Preparing students for auditions in a fun environment. Working on vocal technique, stamina, breathing and performance. Building up confidence. Finding each students voice on their own unique vocal journey.

Jenna
My name is Jenna. I am a mum of 2 gorgeous wee kiddies.
I graduated in 2008 from The Australian Institute of Music in Sydney, Australia, with a Bachelor of Music, Majoring in Music Theatre.
I have performed in many productions/soloist roles, both in New Zealand and Australia.
My biggest role was playing Rosalia, and understudied the lead role Maria, in the Australian touring production of West Side Story. I also toured Australia in The Music of Andre Rieu Spectacular show, both as a Soloist and within a Trio.
Other accomplishments have been performing the role of Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat,(now FOUR Times, most recently in Nov/Dec 2020). Singing a duet with the late Rob Guest on his New Zealand Tour and have worked for Perform Educational Musicals, touring around schools for book week and cyber safety awareness.
Now I have settled in Palmerston North with my family. I have decided to dedicate my time to teaching and helping other achieve their singing goals. I love running Legato Vocals.

My name is Dan Hodgetts; and I am a music teacher around the Manawatū region. I am 24 years old and I have been working as a Primary School Teacher, and I am now teaching music. I teach vocals, guitar, violin and brass at a range of highschools as an Itinerant Teacher. Singing has always been a passion since beginning lessons at Highschool. I have been a student of Jenna’s for two years where she has helped me extend my vocal range and supported my passion for teaching and singing in choirs. I now sing with two of our National choirs the New Zealand Youth Choir and Voices NZ as a bass. I like to sing along to artists which tend to have a pop, jazz and RnB vibe such as Drax Project, Ed Sheeran, John Legend, Michael Buble, and John Mayer. I can teach a range of styles with a focus on jazz, classical and pop music. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance, a Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in (Primary). Also, I have achieved Trinity College London Grade 8 in Singing. I am very excited to teach singing with Jenna at Legato Vocals.
